One of the main reasons people like to jailbreak their iPhones, iPod Touches, and now their iPads, is to add themes to change the look of their device. This adds a more personal touch, and makes it feel more like your own. Winterboard is the app you need to adjust your theme.
When the iPad was first jailbroken, Winterboard’s functionality for iPad just wasn’t there. Although, you could install it, it really didn’t do anything. Today, Saurik, has updated Winterboard, so that you can now apply themes to your iPad.
Saurik posted this on Twitter today:
While not 100%, @DHowett and I have made great progress on WinterBoard’s iPad support with version 0.9.3182. ;P
He posted this screen shot, featuring a Classica theme on the iPad:
We should start to see many new themes available for the iPad, as jailbreak developers start to play around with the iPad UI files. Creating themes for the iPad is a bit different, than the iPhone or iPod Touch, as we are now dealing with landscape mode, as well as portrait mode. Basically, we have to create twice as many files for one theme.
Still waiting For someone to Donate 500+ dollars so i can get a iPad XD
